As mentioned in my previous post I had a tough session on the Monday, Well it seems that I am paying for it a little. Headed out the door (Tuesday) for a lazy 7 miles around my own burrow...Noticed a little niggle in the right Achilles. This stayed for the whole run and annoyed me most of the evening.
Kept the pace steady throughout and even though it was an easy run I made sure that I kept the pace the same going up the small rises that make up this run. This did mean working a little harder but hey this is how we get better....stronger...faster....
Stretched and iced the Achilles.. soaked a gauze in voltaren gel and secured it to my Achilles over night. Woke this morning and huge improvement. Don't want this too slow what I have started so I will monitor this closely. Throughout the day today I also had a gauze on the Achilles under my sock.. The things we do for the sake of staying on our feet.
