Ok back to tonight...Once again the grasshopper, sorry praying mantis, was out in front smashing us all. this is good because he should be in the frame of mind before his big trip but what he does not know is that wombats have a great sense of smell and guess what??? ... I got a sniff tonight and for the briefest of moments I was on him like a fridge magnet.. To the bystander it may have looked like I was hanging on like a three year old looking for a toilet block but let me tell you from where I was "I WAS ALL OVER HIM" for the briefest of moment...beware grasshopper the Wombat is coming ...and like Po in the Kung Fu Panda "I believe"
The session tonight involved three laps warm up but I got an additional 2 in prior to the group starting . The we did a whole lap of the two lakes at a sustained solid pace before cutting through the middle of the two lakes and running easy..(did not feel like it) then a hard half lap before going easy through the middle again and then a hard half a lap around the other lake then through the middle and some short hill sprints.(Could feel lunch trying to make a guest appearance)... a short break then we repeated the process again...
All in all a top session and that's what group training is about everyone trying to bring on their own wombats. Finished with an easy 3 laps of the two lakes to cool down.
Tomorrow easy day if there is really such a beast.
Barrel on wombats.... See you out there
some fighting words there...thats the spirit...
